Bachelor of Science Tax Credit

Any student attaining a Bachelor of Science degree in math, engineering, or a core science, upon receiving their diploma would receive a tax credit for all monies which they or their parents paid out-of-pocket. (Note: all money borrowed to pay for college counts towards “Paid out of Pocket”.)

Non-US citizens who receive a qualified B.S. degree from a United States university, would be entitled to the same tax credit. Obviously, if that student stayed and worked in the United States, he would earn money against which this tax credit could be used. If he or she moved back to their country of origin or elsewhere, then they would be prohibited from using the tax credit, even if they earned US income. This Bachelor of Science Tax Credit should also be transferrable. This way, students could sell the tax credit when they graduated, and pay off their student loans. However, foreign student tax credits should not be transferrable.
