Most Americans would prefer to purchase American-made products if the price and quality of those products was identical to the price and quality of products produced abroad. Since this is not the case, we primarily buy foreign products every day. There is nothing wrong with foreign products. What is wrong is that very few American products are competitive with foreign products, and we need to produce products and services which are competitive if we expect Americans to buy them. If we produce more products at home which are competitive, then both Americans and foreigners will buy them, and America will prosper, jobs will be created, and the Middle Class, in particular, will increase in strength and number.
